Position Summary & Duties:

DISASTER RECOVERY PROGRAM MANAGER / BUSINESS MANAGER POSITION SUMMARY

This Disaster Recovery (DR) Program / Business Manager is responsible for Managing portions of HGA’s disaster recovery portfolio of work within HGA’s Program Management Business Unit.  The DR Program / Business Manager is a key management position in this growing HGA business line.  Responsibilities include servicing existing customers and developing new customers, staff development, building / overseeing project execution teams and managing the day to day business activities.  The DR Program / Business Manager will assist with setting annual goals, promoting and maintaining profitability, accountability, flexibility, teamwork and professional growth / development. Managing through influence and highly effective communications are integral to this position as this individual will be responsible for building / managing multiple teams in different locations and insuring HGA is delivering on our commitments and building long-term customer relationships.

DR PROGRAM / BUSINESS MANAGER ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • DR Program / Business Manager identifies and effectively pursues opportunities and relationships to advance HGA’s presence and revenue opportunity, both with current clients and more broadly within the DR market.
  • Participate in strategic planning / sales plan development for the continued development of the business.
  • DR Program / Business Manager is responsible for defining staffing needs for the delivery of services and securing the required staff through industry contacts and HGA’s staffing business.
  • Team building and providing guidance to project teams for the successful execution of services.
  • DR Program / Business Manager will participate in Owner meetings as required providing strategic guidance and helping insure the successful delivery of services.
  • Actively working to build a national reputation in the industry, maintaining positive relationships with clients and representing HGA with local, state and national industry organizations.
  • Proactive issue resolution both internally and externally.
  • DR Program / Business Manager will be attentive to customers’ needs, including evaluating those needs and offering solutions as necessary while building long-term relationships.
  • Participate in social interaction with clients and establish clientele at the Corporate level.
  • Oversee / assist with budget review, proposal development, presentations and negotiations as required.
  • Willingness to travel to develop business, engage project teams, attend owner meetings, participate in trade conferences, etc.

Qualifications:

DR PROGRAM / BUSINESS MANAGER EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE   

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, construction management or comparable experience.
  • Should possess a minimum 10 years of disaster recovery project experience (FEMA or HUD funded recovery, HUD funded experience preferred). 
  • Proven prior leaderships of large scale recovery programs such as project manager or program manager.
  • Disaster recovery experience and existing industry contacts.
  • Proven business development experience.
  • Proven team building experience.
