Cathodic Protection Technician - NACE CP2 (HGAS)

Position Summary & Duties:

The Cathodic Protection Technician is a 6-month contract working for an Oil & Gas client in the Bridgeville, PA area.  The Cathodic Protection Technician will be traveling to different pipeline projects in Western PA and West Virginia to perform cathodic protection testing.  Cathodic Protection Technician candidates must have NACE CP2 certification and 5+ years of experience. 

  • Use NACE skills to provide field inspection during coatings application
  • Knowledge of operating various coating inspection instruments and equipment according to NACE standards
  • Using NACE CP2, perform field testing of new and old cathodic protection systems and other corrosion control systems
  • Monitor corrosion protection activities for adherence to design specifications
  • Conduct post-installation surveys, complete interference testing and energize rectifier systems Organize and analyze gathered data, prepare charts and tables
  • Assemble field data for preparation of final client report including service recommendations
  • Diagnose and recommend remedies for system difficulties observed during resurvey operations
  • Recommend modifications to senior staff for approval



 Cathodic Protection Technician Requirements: 

  • NACE CP2 certification required
  • Willing to work overtime and weekends
  • Work to travel and work in all types of weather and worksite conditions
  • 5+ years of experience as a NACE Coating Inspector working in the Oil & Gas industry
  • Must be local to the WV and Western PA areas.
