Pipeline Materials Coordinator (HGAS)

Position Summary & Duties:

The Pipeline Materials Coordinator is a contract-to-direct position working for an oil & gas client in the Bridgeville, PA area.  

The Pipeline Materials Coordinator position is accountable for ensuring each crew and/or jobsite is set up with the appropriate company, government and customer documents as well as all safety equipment, small tools and equipment and traffic control items. This position assures warehouse operations run effectively and efficiently. This position also assists warehouse coordinator, field and safety personnel in maintaining a safe work environment. This position has contact with the general public, customers, vendors, field operations personnel and management.

  • The Pipeline Materials Coordinator is accountable for ensuring each crew, project and/or job site is set up with appropriate documents, including customer and government required documents, safety and audit guideline trainings, safety equipment, traffic control items, job supplies, small equipment and small tools
  • Accountable for the safe maintenance of warehouse and company yards and distribution of equipment/material used by field operations, including safety equipment
  • The Pipeline Materials Coordinator maintains crew tracking information ensuring accurate listings on location of equipment and personnel
  • Receives “pre-job” checklists and files accordingly for needed reference
  • The Pipeline Materials Coordinator maintains and processes Safety Board documentation, including fire extinguisher maintenance logs/documentation, “Tool Box Talks” documentation as well as heavy truck daily vehicle inspection reports and fuel trip logs for intrastate and interstate travel
  • Performs monthly inspections on gas monitors
  • The Pipeline Materials Coordinator serves as backup role to Warehouse Coordinator and/or Equipment Manager’s absence; Interacts with mechanics daily regarding parts needs
  • Accountable for setting min/max levels in warehouse stock and initiating replenishment orders according to company procurement procedures
  • The Pipeline Materials Coordinator assists warehouse coordinator with scheduling truck drivers as well as obtains and maintains heavy equipment permits
  • Responsible for receiving material and equipment deliveries and completing the receiving documentation
  • Deals directly with customers and vendors and conducts pricing reviews with vendors quarterly
  • The Pipeline Materials Coordinator performs basic maintenance duties for office location, warehouse and shop (Ex. Changing light bulbs)
  • Performs parts runner duties
  • Occasionally assists mechanics with truck/equipment repairs when mechanics are short-handed
  • The Pipeline Materials Coordinator participates with warehouse coordinator on vendor negotiations
  • Ability to take on the Warehouse Coordinator role as skills develop
  • Ability to drive truck and pull a trailer
  • Willingness to work 6 days per week, 10 hours per day if required
  • Willingness to set up construction yards outside of the Pittsburgh area which will require overnight stays



  • The Pipeline Materials Coordinator requires a minimum of a high school degree and 5 years of field construction and/or utility industry experience.
  • Excellent organizational and computer required.
  • Excellent customer service skills required.
  • Commercial Driver’s License preferred
  • The Pipeline Materials Coordinator must have clean driving record
