Position Summary & Duties:

The Project Manager - Disaster Relief position will be located in the Houston area overseeing the administration and management of Hurricane Harvey disaster relief projects for HGA.  

PROJECT MANAGER - DISASTER RELIEF POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Manager is responsible for the administrative and management of Hurricane Harvey disaster relief projects within HGA’s Program Management division and for the application of broad plans of operation including but not limited to:

• Project Manager will periodically review project schedules, budgets, and progress.

• Assess and resolve inter-functional conflicts.

• Project Manager will ensure that projects are consistent with company strategy, commitments, and goals.

• Establish work group standards, policies, and procedures.

• Project Manager will lead the planning and implementation of projects.

• Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.

• Project Manager will define project tasks and resource requirements.

• Develop full scale project plans.

• Project Manager will assemble and coordinate project staff.

• Manage project budget and resource allocation.

• Project Manager will plan and schedule project timelines.

• Track project deliverables using appropriate tools.

• Project Manager will provide direction and support to project team.

• Ensure project is operating within quality assurance guidelines.

• Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project.

• Project Manager will present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions.

• Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.

• Project evaluations and assessment of results.

• Supervision and approval of proposals.

Qualifications:

Project Manager - Disaster Relief Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

• 10+ years of full-time project/program related experience preferably as a Project Manager in the field of disaster recovery housing programs.

• Experience including budgeting, scheduling, tracking, monitoring, and reporting within projects or programs.

• Project Manager experience leading projects in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

• Strong familiarity with advanced project management practices, methods, and techniques.

• Proficient in use of MS Windows, MS Outlook, MS Excel and MS Word.
