Position Summary & Duties:

The Project Engineer position is a 1-year contract position working for an Oil & Gas client in the Krotz Springs, LA area.

Project Engineer Job Description:

Project Engineer makes decisions and recommendations which can greatly impact project profitability. Project Engineer management responsibility generally limited to smaller less critical projects. Project Engineer will provide overall management direction for a field project or two or more smaller projects.

Project Engineer Duties:

  • Plan, organize and staff key field positions.
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards.
  • Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of on-site Superintendent to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget; investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
  • Represent company in project meetings; strategy meetings, etc.

Project Engineer Educational and Experience Requirements:

  • 4 year engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Extensive (ten or more years) Project Engineer experience with knowledge of construction, design, finance, and management required.
  • Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
  • Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities vital.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills essential.
  • Project Engineer must be a business oriented person.
  • Candidates within easy commute of Krotz Springs preferred.
