Revit Designer (HGAS)

Position Summary & Duties:

The Revit Designer is a 6-month contract position working for an oil & gas client in the Philadelphia, PA area.  The project is a large public works project where Revit software will be used to design HVAC and plumbing for the project.  The position will also be a liaison between the subcontractor and the main contract engineering firm.  Revit Designer Candidates must be able to commute to the Philadelphia work site to be considered.

Revit Designer Job Description:

Produce and coordinate the completion of construction documents in Revit. Create 3D MEP models for design optimization and enhanced construction planning. Create and design MEP general arrangement models that will coordinate with all other disciplines. Collaborate with engineers and designers from MEP disciplines to produce 3D models and construction drawings for projects. May train other employees in all disciplines on the use of Revit.

Utilize Revit to produce drawing details such as sheets for plotting, 3D modeling of equipment and basic templates.

  • Work in a collaborative manner with the respective project manager, pipe designer, and/or design manager to reduce cost installation through efficient layout and acceptable changes to contract drawings.
  • Assist in development of departmental drafting and Revit standards.
  • Maintain revision control on drawings and follow company standards for an organized system of maintaining files.
  • Must be motivated to keep current with new and emerging related technology.
  • Perform other related duties as requested by management

Revit Designer Job Requirements:

  • Software Usage – extensive experience with Autodesk Revit software
  • Modeling Experience – proficiency with producing drawings, plotting and 3D modeling using Revit software
