Project Manager (HGAS)

Position Summary & Duties:
The Project Manager position is a contract position for a potential project working with an industrial client located in the Atlanta, GA area.  The successful candidate will spend time in both Ruston, LA and Atlanta, GA.  If the project is undertaken, it is anticipated the project will last from 2-6 months, possibly longer.  At this time, we are gathering resumes of interested candidates for this potential project.    

PROJECT MANAGER POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Manager position provides administrative and technical management of projects working directly with an industrial client who is in the process of developing the execution strategy for capital projects that are in response to recent EPA mandates. This successful candidate will spend some time in the client’s corporate headquarters in Atlanta, GA.

PROJECT MANAGER ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads the planning and implementation of projects.
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.
  • Define project tasks and resource requirements.
  • Develop full scale project plans.
  • Assemble and coordinate project staff.
  • Manage project budget and resource allocation.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines.
  • Track project deliverables using appropriate tools.
  • Provide direction and support to project team.
  • Ensure project is operating within quality assurance guidelines.
  • Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project.
  • Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions.
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
  • Project evaluations and assessment of results.
  • Supervision and approval of proposals.
Qualifications:

PROJECT MANAGER EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business from an accredited college.   
  • Minimum of ten years of full-time project/program related experience preferably in the field of engineering.
  • Experience with EPA-related projects desired. 
  • Experience including budgeting, scheduling, tracking, monitoring, and reporting within projects or programs.
  • Experience leading projects in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Strong familiarity with advanced project management practices, methods, and techniques.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Windows, MS Outlook, MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Financial Management - Understands basic revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections.
  • PMP certification preferred.
